Independent Working Chef (Zelfstandig Werkend Kok)

We serve authentic Indian cuisine in Amsterdam using fresh ingredients, traditional spices, and family recipes. From classic curries to tandoori specialities, as well as vegetarian, vegan, and meat dishes, we’re passionate about delivering great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere.
We are currently looking for 3 Independent Working Chefs to join our team.
Your Responsibilities
- Independently prepare lunch and dinner dishes
- Carry out mise en place and other preparation tasks, including cutting, mixing, and portioning
- Maintain the quality, taste, and presentation of all dishes
- Follow HACCP and food safety regulations
- Manage stock, including ordering, receiving, and checking deliveries
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and workstations
- Contribute ideas for new recipes, menu improvements, and kitchen processes
- Supervise kitchen assistants and ensure procedures are followed
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Holds an MBO Level 3 diploma or has an equivalent MBO Level 3 working and thinking level
- Has basic culinary knowledge and kitchen experience
- Can work independently and take initiative
- Performs well under pressure during busy service
- Works well as part of a team
- Speaks Dutch or English
- Is enthusiastic, reliable, and keen to learn
